My personal design preferences tend to be based on authenticity rather than aesthetic, I often question, does the furniture, finish or equipment have sustainability features, do they honour the culture or surrounding landscape and will the design serve people to its fullest potential? My goal is to create spaces that resonate with users and serve their needs above all else.

“THERE ARE very FEW THINGS THAT INSPIRE AND EXCITE ME MORE THAN interior design!”
A home is where your children open presents on Christmas morning, where you and your lover sit by the fire and dream your dreams together. It is early morning coffees and late night movies. A space where you regenerate and rest, but also where you make life altering action. A home is more than just a collection of rooms it is what memories are made of. Grandmas wallpaper to your parents oak cabinets. The wooden stairs that squeak and thick quilt blankets that provide so much comfort.
To me interior design is everything that makes you, you! It represents who you are, impacts your life every single day, and creates lasting memories for generations.

I love how interior design combines creative and analytical aspects. Serving people through the work I do is extremely fulfilling. My biggest accomplishments include earning second place in the kitchen category in NKBA’s Student Design Competition while studying for my Interior Design Technology diploma at Lakeland College. From there I went on to receive my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Yorkville University, where I completed my senior thesis on how interior environments impact mental health. It was shorty after this I opened Salix Studio and most recently I have been selected to be part of the NKBA's 30 under 30 class of 2023!
I am inspired to continually learn and grow in order to offer the best advise and service to you. Design is consistently changing. It fascinates me to discover new ideas and get creative with various ways of implementing them in functional, supportive, and practical ways.

ninety percent of my closet is black, white and beige.
You can catch me romanticizing all the little things in life, making tea, going for walks in the forest, and baking. For fun I like to play piano, listen to podcasts and ride horses.
My personality type can be described as melancholic, analytical and detail-oriented, I am a deep thinker and feeler with self-reliant yet thoughtful and reserved tendencies. I always strive for perfection which is a combination of my biggest weakness and strength.
That’s a little sneak peek into my life and a few of my favourite things. No matter who and where we are, we’re all people who experience life through interior environments with different memories. No space is one and the same. And that’s why I LOVE designing interiors (and hopefully yours too!)”
